Reds Boss Klopp Sends A Warning To Liverpool Stars After Reversing A ‘Silly’ Decision

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has overruled his own decision and will now allow Liverpool players who are not on international duty to enjoy some free time and have some much needed rest.

Jurgen KloppKey players from the Liverpool squad which includes – James Milner, Emre Can, Loris Karius, Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren, Lucas Leiva and Alberto Moreno, has been granted some time off from the Melwood training ground. However the prolific German manager has warned his players to ‘maintain their own fitness levels’.

Earlier they had outplayed top sides like Arsenal, Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and were held to a draw against Manchester United.

This time around if Liverpool manages to clinch the crown – the credit would go to a collective effort and above all the towering guidance of former Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp.

liverpoolManchester United spent £89m for roping in Paul Pogba from Juventus but it is mesmerizing to notice the collective cost of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho (just cost £92m), who has taken their game to higher pedestal for Liverpool this season. Under Klopp’s philosophy – it is all about — hunting, pressing and plundering the opposition.

“It was a silly decision. It’s only because I was not used to it. Now we are proper English coaches, we know about the fixtures, the intensity of the next few months. Each possibility for a little break, you have to use. That’s what we have to do.”

“They still have a programme — to train and stay fit. Not all of them can go wherever they want because if you’re a bit injured you have to be here.”

liverpool“But a real training session does not make sense with five or six players. A few days off and then we’ll start again.”

“We will try to have a game behind closed doors. The result of that won’t be important but it’s an opportunity for us to give players match time.”

“From Sunday or Monday onwards, when the international players start to come back, we will prepare for the next game.”
