La Liga giants Barcelona have agreed in principle with Borussia Dortmund over a £90million fee for Ousmane Dembele – but are yet to reach an agreement over £27m in add-ons, according to reports.
Dortmund are ready to allow their 20-year forward to join Barcelona and are now trying to make as much money as possible in a deal.
According to SPORT, Dortmund have accepted Barcelona’s bid for the French winger as the Spanish giants are ready to pay the full £90m up front.
But the Barca bosses are now negotiating the add-ons, with the Bundesliga club asking for an £27m on top of the transfer fee.
Meanwhile, Dembele continues to train alone for Dortmund while his future at the club remains under doubt.
This comes as a huge boost for Barcelona, who are under pressure to rope in a replacement of Neymar.
Barcelona are facing the heat after Neymar’s departure and suffered a humiliating 3-1 defeat against bitter rivals Real Madrid in the first-leg clash of the Spanish Super Cup at the Nou Camp.
The very next day, the La Liga giants announced the signing of former Tottenham man Paulinho.
Paulinho failed to impress during his stint with the Spurs and the Barca fans were stunned and vented out their frustration on social media when the club announced the shock transfer.
Meanwhile Dortmund have suspended Dembele indefinitely as he is forcing through a move to the Nou Camp.
The player did not show up for training and did not answer calls from the German club.
And this comes after the player was involved in a training ground bust-up during the pre-season.
