Making Big Moves Next Summer?👀

Published on:

The delayed European Championships will take place in 2021, which means that clubs from around Europe should expect inflated prices for some of the brightest stars from the competition. France will go into the competition as one of the leading sides, as they look to add to their 2018 World Cup success. Meanwhile, England and Belgium will both be prominent in the markets with the leading betting sites. But, which stars could gain attention during the competition and could put themselves in the shop window for a huge summer move?

Jack Grealish

Those that watch the Premier League will already be aware of the talents of Jack Grealish. The Aston Villa captain has been one of the standout players in the Premier League over the past 18 months, and he was a pivotal factor in the club evading the risk of relegation at the end of the 2019-20 season.

However, his performances have become even better since the start of this season, as he has scored four goals and made five assists in seven Premier League games. That run of form has seen him handed his first England start, and his list of potential suitors is set to grow further over the summer. Manchester United were reportedly interesting in the Villa captain in the summer of 2020, but Manchester City and Chelsea are also both showing an interest now.

Dani Olmo

The Spanish national side haven’t been blessed with a natural number nine since the days of David Villa and Fernando Torres, but there is a sense that this is changing with the emergence of 22-year-old striker Dani Olmo.

Olmo plays as an attacking midfielder for RB Leipzig but has been operating as a number nine for the national side during his five appearances for his country, and it seems that Olmo has made that position his own having scored once for his country. There is no doubting the creativity of the 22-year-old, as he has already made three assists in the Bundesliga this season. However, if he impresses during the European Championships, then a club side may be convinced that he is an option as a number nine.

Eduardo Camavinga

Eduardo Camavinga is already attracting interesting from all corners of Europe, as the 18-year-old has been taking Ligue 1 by storm. He made his debut for the national side earlier this year and scored his first goal for France in the world champions 7-0 win over Ukraine. Camavinga will have to continue playing at his peak to earn his spot in a competitive French midfield, as he will need to out-perform players such as N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba for a starting berth.

However, Camavinga has already shown during his three years in Ligue 1 that he has the talent to play for the world champions, as he has helped his club side reach the group stages of the Champions League. The sky is the limit for him, and there will be a number of clubs looking for his signature after the European Championships next summer.
