Chelsea’s out-of-favour midfielder Cesc Fabregas has found himself on the fringes after Antonio Conte took over at the Blues this summer.
Fabregas was one of the key players who helped Chelsea to the 2014/15 Premier League title, but the Spaniard has found himself out of first-team action for over 2 months now.
Cesc has had just one start this season, which came in the 3-0 loss to his former club Arsenal.
The former Barcelona man has not played since then and fallen down the pecking order.
However, if Conte truly means when he said that Cesc Fabregas’ future lies at Chelsea then there is no better time to introduce the magician in the first-team then against bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspurs.
The Spaniard has a phenomenal record against Spurs, having provided 11 assists against the north-Londoners, one more and he will equal the record for most assists against a single Premier League opponent.
The 29-year-old certainly enjoys playing against Spurs and saves his best for Chelsea’s heated rivals.
Only Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has a better record against single opponent, with 12 assists against Manchester City and Newcastle United.
