It complicates matters for the parties involved as Carvalho is out of contract in the summer and Fulham were looking to get a transfer fee for the youngster and retain him until the end of the season. Summer transfer window drama coming already!

Barcelona have another striker!

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed for Barcelona, completing the deal at the end of the January transfer window with Arsenal reportedly terminating his contract to facilitate the deal.

The transfer materialised entirely over the last day or so with the deal looking to have fallen through but negotiations worked out in the end. Official announcements from the clubs are awaited.

Cantwell’s a Cherry

Highly rated Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell has joined Championship side AFC Bournemouth on loan. Cantwell has been on the fringes of the Norwich side with his future in limbo with his contract running out in the summer.

Newcastle United have signed another defender on deadline day, completing a two and a half year deal for Dan Burn from Brighton after getting Matt Targett from Aston Villa earlier in the day.

Liverpool with another coup!

Liverpool are nearing a move for Fulham sensation Fabio Carvalho in the closing hours of the deadline day. The Reds have already added Luis Diaz to their attacking line and are looking at the future with a deal for the young striker for five years.

The 19-year old has 11 direct goal involvements in the 18 appearances in the Championship this season and will stay at Fulham for the rest of the season before moving to Liverpool in the summer. He is undergoing a medical and Liverpool face a race against time to get the deal completed this January.

Tottenham signed Bryan Gil amidst much fanfare but the move has not worked out with the  20-year old having made just 9 league appearances so far, all of them limited cameos from the bench.
